Hi Tumbuka Arch

For your huge efforts on Wikipediya Ya ChiTumbuka I want to award you with the Flower of the month.

Flag translation

What’s the translation of flag? You used both Mbendera and Mbendela and the translator said ndembera. CubanoBoi (pakuchezgela) 02:38, 5 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]

Because those translations are edited by anyone and contributed by its community members just like Wikipedia, they are not perfect. The correct translation is Mbendela. Where I or any person who used Mbendera, was just a mistake.
Thanks for asking. Tumbuka Arch 05:52, 5 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]

Political divisions and normal towns

Would Nyungwe,Karonga (town) be the same as Karonga - Nyungwe (political divisions)? CubanoBoi (pakuchezgela) 21:59, 5 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]

@Tumbuka Arch Also is Chaba, Chitipa suppose to be Chabani? CubanoBoi (pakuchezgela) 01:38, 6 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
CubanoBoi hie!
No, Nyungwe,Karonga is a place while Karonga-Nyungwe is a political indication.
Chaba, Chitipa is not Chabani.
They seem to have similar names but are different places and are far from each other.
It is like San Diego de los Baños (Cuba) and San Diego (California, US). They start with similar names but are not one and are far from each other.
Thanks for asking. --- Tumbuka Arch 04:44, 6 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
Thanks! Also i think pages of schools should be different. ex. i think Nankhonde, Lilongwe should be renamed to "Sukulu Yakwamba ya Nankhonde" and if theres another school with the same name it should be "Sukulu Yakwamba ya Nankhonde (Lilongwe)". Since same schools have the same name as there town it would have the same name as the wikipedia page, which cant happen. CubanoBoi (pakuchezgela) 01:36, 7 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
@CubanoBoi That sounds great.
But those are just names of places, the schools came after the places were already there.
Meaning it may likely not be necessary.
In Villa Clara there is a primary school called Villa Clara Elementary School but that doesn't mean Villa Clara as a place should change its name to Villa Clara primary school. :)
Instead, Villa Clara Elementary School can be mentioned inside the article of Villa Clara, under "Schools found in Villa Clara".
I don't know if you are getting what I mean.
So, Sukulu Yakwamba ya Nankhonde should be mentioned or intergrated inside Nankhonde, Lilongwe.
What do you think? This is just my opinion. :)
--- Tumbuka Arch 04:56, 7 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
That sounds good, but some big schools should have there own page CubanoBoi (pakuchezgela) 13:33, 7 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]

Lingua Franca Nova (“Elefen”) is a language designed to be particularly simple, consistent, and easy to learn for international communications. It has a number of positive qualities:

1. It has a limited number of phonemes. It sounds similar to Italian or Spanish.

2. It is phonetically spelled. No child should have to spend years learning irregularities.

3. It has a completely regular grammar, similar to the world’s creoles.

4. It has a limited and completely regular set of productive affixes for routine word derivation.

5. It has well-defined rules for word order, in keeping with many major languages.

6. Its vocabulary is strongly rooted in modern Romance languages. These languages are themselves widespread and influential, plus they have contributed the major part of English vocabulary.

7. It is designed to be naturally accepting of Latin and Greek technical neologisms, the de facto “world standard”.

8. It is designed to seem relatively “natural” to those who are familiar with Romance languages, without being any more difficult for others to learn.

We hope you like Elefen!

@Caro de Segeda Any relevant foreign articles with significant subject that need to be here? Drop. Tumbuka Arch 15:25, 10 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
You are using very complicated templates that go far beyond my knowledge. I have been checking the wiki and Malaŵi#Boma na ndyali is in English. I suggest you to keep creating the Vital articles because the wiki looks great the way it is but I believe its content can be improved. Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 15:38, 10 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
@Caro de Segeda You are right that parts of that are in English. Its translations are written offline, and will be pasted in less few minutes later.
At the time I was translating it was too long and didn't have much time for it. Tumbuka Arch 15:42, 10 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
I am afraid that for Wikipedia:Today's featured article/March 2023 you are using too complicated templates, which I don't know how to deal with so I am afraid I cannot help here. Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 16:01, 10 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
@Caro de Segeda It is a dublicate of this page : Tumbuka Arch 16:04, 10 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
Which means I have (or you may) need to go to every template of that article(tumwiki) and update it with new data found on the very same templates but on enwiki Tumbuka Arch 16:06, 10 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
It is not just that, for certain templates you need to allow them to be used on your wiki. The English Wikipedia is the more complicated one regarding templates, but they have a lot of people working there. That is why I always prefer simple templates that anybody can change. I suggest you to keep it the way it is know and not trying to add to many templates because it arrives a point in which it is impossible to know where the error lies. Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 16:08, 10 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
True okay great. Tumbuka Arch 16:11, 10 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
I have to say that the Main Page looks great and I would suggest to keep creating articles because of that list: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/List_of_Wikipedias_by_language_group#Bantoid . You can see it is the fifth now and can be fourth if you keep creating articles. That will make it look very good. Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 16:18, 10 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
@Caro de Segeda Great. I will keep creating vitals then. Thanks. Tumbuka Arch 16:22, 10 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
@Caro de Segeda But since the current system of templates have been adopted, I suggest you become an importer as the import feature is accessible to admins and importers. Takes few hours on Meta for Stewards to assign. Should I start a discussion? If yes, I will create it. Tumbuka Arch 16:19, 10 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
I cannot have any position because I have been accused of self-promotion so me asking for any position in the Tumbuka Wikipedia will only damage the wiki. If you translate the text for Vital Articles, specially, biographies, I can try to help out with templates and things like that. I can always ask you to translate texts for articles that have just a few lines and try to add images and categories to the already existing ones. Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 16:25, 10 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
@Caro de Segeda no it will not. I will plead that you will be importing templates because you have knowledge about it. The right will be enabled only here for you to import from enwiki, eswiki, etc. This is not sysop, so I don't think it's a big deal. Tumbuka Arch 16:30, 10 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
We can try, but I cannot promise anything. They really don't like me and also, I don't have knowledge about those templates as they are very complicated but, if you insist, I suggest you to write asking them to give me importer rights and then I can write something but in that case it would be you introducing my name which I believe it will give us more opportunities. Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 16:33, 10 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
Cyril Ramaphosa has parts in English as well Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 16:37, 10 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]

Politics of Malawi
Politics of Malawi takes place in a framework of a presidential representative democratic republic, whereby the President of Malawi is both head of state and head of government, and of a multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by the government. Legislative power is vested in both the government and the National Assembly. There is a cabinet of Malawi that is appointed by the President of Malawi. The judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature. The government of Malawi has been a multi-party democracy since 1994. The Economist Intelligence Unit rated Malawi a "hybrid regime" in 2022. Economy of Malawi
The economy of Malawi is $7.522 billion by gross domestic product as of 2019, and is predominantly agricultural, with about 80% of the population living in rural areas. The landlocked country in south central Africa ranks among the world's least developed countries. In 2017, agriculture accounted for about one-third of GDP[13] and about 80% of export revenue. The economy depends on substantial inflows of economic assistance from the IMF, the World Bank, and individual donor nations. The government faces strong challenges: to spur exports, to improve educational and health facilities, to face up to environmental problems of deforestation and erosion, and to deal with the problem of HIV/AIDS in Africa. Malawi is a least developed country according to United Nations. Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 12:15, 11 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]

Translations are on the way. In fact, you can put as much as you can. I will translate. Tumbuka Arch 18:53, 11 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
@Caro de Segeda But I just wanted to know, are you one of Interlingue founders? Or a promoter of such? I mean I just discovered you created a whole bunch of articles of such globally especially in small wikis. The best thing is to tell natives of those languages to translate into their language and then the very same people should create that article, not necessarily you. This is seen as spam to some users and others might even interpret it as promotion of such subject, person, history, event or film.
IMPORTANT: I am not against your works about this man-made language, in fact, I love it and I am just curious about how it got managed to be made. I read it has many words from different Euro languages which is great for easy participation and association.
But creating these articles in many wikis will give you a lot of problems, inviting a global risk to your good account. Tumbuka Arch 19:12, 11 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]
Interlingue was created in 1922, so I am clearly not its creator xd I just like artificial languages, specially that one and Lingua Franca Nova. Answering your question: yes, I have been asking in different encyclopedias to translate articles about them. Regarding the global risk to my account: they already criticised me and deleted a lot of articles I created in different wikis so I don't really mind. I have stopped helping in almost every single Wikipedia: I am really just helping out here.
I can put the whole article in English and leave it there for you to translate from time to time if you want. Caro de Segeda (pakuchezgela) 07:15, 12 Malichi 2023 (UTC)[zgola]

@CubanoBoi That is true and thanks. We need to select a few articles to improve and you can put them on one list in the sidebar of the wiki. If you don't know where to find the sidebar then you will need to ask. Also please if we start an article it is good to entirely translate it in full without leaving anything if that article is on English Wikipedia.
