  • I'll take this one. SusunW (talk) 15:35, 19 February 2023 (UTC)
Created 1 Feb., nom 5 Feb. – new enough; 2580 char – long enough; neutral; does not appear to have copyvio issues per a review of sourcing; QPQ done; no photo. Citations were missing for several of the publications. I've added most, you need to add a source for Summerland. Hook 0: 132 char – under maximum; verified; but no where in the article does it state that the women survived. You need to specifically state that information, followed by a citation to use that hook. Alt 1: 128 char – under maximum; stated in article; however, source (although dated in January) states the exhibition begins on "Saturday February 4". Hook needs to be corrected to run. IMO 0 is the most interesting, but is close to the recent hook on Kohút. Could you make a hook that combines her work in young adult fiction and her books or exhibits on fashion? I think that would have broader appeal. SusunW (talk) 16:13, 19 February 2023 (UTC)
@SusunW: I've cited Summerland, corrected the January/February hook, and rephrased a sentence to support the survived hook using Camerlengoa, who describes the account of "a group of Jewish women who survived Auschwitz—perhaps the most infamous of all World War II death camps—by making high-fashion ball gowns and cocktail dresses for the wives of Nazi officers."
GTG. Mary Mark Ockerbloom, thank you for addressing the issues. I have approved the two proposed hooks, but if you want to take a stab at a hook that combines her areas of expertise, I'm happy to look at it again. SusunW (talk) 17:20, 19 February 2023 (UTC)
Moved symbol. Thanks for making them RAJIVVASUDEV. Alts 2 and 3 also short enough and cited, although I'd replace "sufferings" in Alt 3 with either resilience or hardships (resilience because they survived, hardships is evident). Promoter can decide which one. SusunW (talk) 14:56, 21 February 2023 (UTC)
@RAJIVVASUDEV, SusunW, and Mary Mark Ockerbloom: I was going to promote this...but the hook idea that jumped out at me while reading the article is:
  • ALT4: ... that after publishing a fictional account of women who survived a Nazi concentration camp by sewing fashionable dresses, historian Lucy Adlington was contacted by descendants of actual dressmakers?
What do you think? Cielquiparle (talk) 15:04, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
Cielquiparle I like it. It's sourced, stated, and short enough. (FYI, I am on vacation and mostly not able to respond until next week. I happened to be checking a venue, so I saw this.) SusunW (talk) 15:23, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
Cielquiparle [Hook length is long but not exceeding the limit, 197 characters] I am also okay with the same. Thanks RV (talk) 09:51, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
