Desmond Dudwa Phiri, wakumanyikwa na zina lakuti D. D. Kuŵa wakukondwa. Phiri, (Feburary 23, 1931 ️ March 24, 2019) wakaŵa mulembi, wakusanda vya cuma, wakusanda mdauko, ndiposo wakulemba maseŵero wa ku Malawi.Wakababikira ku Mzimba, Malawi, ndipo wakaŵa mulara wa sukulu ya Aggrey Memorial School ku Blantyre. Wakalemba mabuku 17 pa nkhani za mbiri, sayansi ya umoyo wa ŵanthu na vyachuma ndipo wakazomerezgeka na wupu wa Pan-African Writers' Association (PAWA) kuŵa yumoza wa ŵalembi ŵapachanya 23 mu Africa mu 2011. Wakalembanga nkhani mu nyuzipepara ya The Nation. Wakafwa pa 24 March 2019 ku chipatala cha Mwaiwathu Private Hospital ku Blantyre.

Umoyo wa munthu

Phiri wakababika pa 23 February 1931 ku Mzimba, Malawi.. Wakasambira ku sukulu ya Blantyre Secondary School, Livingstonia, na London. Pamasinda wakasamira ku England uko wakasambira vya vyachuma, mdauko, na sayansi ya vyaumoyo ku London School of Economics. Yunivesite ya Malawi yikamupa digiri ya udokotala.
