Hoi Dinette,
Remember me, I was in favour of there being a tum:wikipedia and I want to congratulate you with it being started with its first articles. :)

Great stuff and I really want it to become a success. As I have a lot of experience, you can ask me anything that is needed to get the tum:wikipedia to become a great resource. I am a sysop on the nl:wikipedia and do a lot of work on the wiktionaries.

It is funny for me to "welcome" you on your own wikipedia, but hey it is great to see it is alive. Welcoming people is really nice, they feel welcome and apreciated for the work that they are doing. It is something that is one of the tasks of a "sysop". I understand that there is no sysop yet and, it would be excellent if you would be willing to be one.

Thanks Gerard, I have just seen this "skype"? of yours, I am having a problem with my internet connection at home and whatever I have been doing this week has had to come from whatever time I can spare at work. I really appreciate the support you guys have given me.

New articles

Hoi Dinette,
For the new entries, I have created a "template" this template can be found here Template:Main Page-new, and is used from {{Template:Main Page-new}}.

The reason for templates on a main page is, that you do not have to change the main page that often and, it prevents vandals from changing the content as they do not really understand it. The drawback is that people who have a good reason to change it also have to learn this trick. GerardM 07:55, 18 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Pictures

Hoi, pictures can be uploaded to your own wikipedia. Pictures can however also be uploaded to "commons". http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page Commons is a place from which pictures can be used on all wikimedia projects. So pictures can be used on the nl:wikipedia, the en:wikipedia etc.

There is one rule regarding pictures, they have to be free to be used. Therefore pictures from books and magazines who reserve their copyright and require you to pay for their use should not be uploaded. Thanks, GerardM 07:55, 18 Dec 2004 (UTC)
